The research and work scholarships for visual arts of the City of Cologne were awardede for the third time in 2021. The selected artists and curators were Ute Behrendt, Frauke Dannert, Omar El Lahib, Bastian Hoffmann, Andreas Keil, Julia König, Aino Nebel, Ulf Neumann, Oleksandra Nikitina, Nils Peter, Stefanie Pluta, Paulina Seyfried, Peter Schloss, Franca Scholz and Svenja Wichmann. At the public closing event, the scholarship holders will present the status of the implementation of their project plans.

Since 2019, the City of Cologne's Research and Work Grants for Visual Arts have been awarded annually and are endowed with 5,000 euros each. With this municipal funding instrument, the City of Cologne supports self-selected, professional research and work projects in the visual and media arts.
