Hey you! How are you? What’s your name? What are you doing?
katze und krieg hit on strangers. For their harem.
A harem that ensnares them and takes care of them. Right in the middle of the street.

How can women come in contact with men, straight and point-blank in the public? And how to keep them interested? In their new performance, katze und krieg make use of flirt and leadership strategies that they learned over time by men, in order to build a temporary community. In the process, alleged gender roles are being questioned. The audience is invited to accompany the interventions in the public space.

After the performance in Cologne, a follow-up talk is moderated by Aneta Rostkowska, director of Temporary Gallery.

Dates and places

On the 25th, 26th and 27th of July 2019, the performance will take place in Cologne as part of the performance program of Temporary Gallery.

On the 18th, 19th and 20th of July 2019, the performance is part of „Asphalt Festival“ in Düsseldorf.
