RAMEN WORKSHOP
with Gaku & Azusa Yamane
Sat 26 August, 12—3 p.m.

In Japanese and German.
The workshop is already fully booked.

In this workshop you will learn what ramen is and how to make ramen yourself, according to your individual ideas!

Ramen is a special and artistic dish. Cooking ramen is like painting on a white canvas: In a bowl there is soup, noodles, vegetables, meat and oil. Different ingredients create a beautiful harmony and give us energy.

The special thing about ramen is that you can freely choose additional ingredients and thus give each ramen dish your personal touch. Another special feature is that Gaku's ramen is different and special, because Gaku always uses local ingredients and spices, because it is important for him that his ramen is accepted and loved by the local people.

Let's match!

Gaku Yamane has been a passionate chef and artist for 25 years. Born in Yamaguchi, he is involved with Integrationshaus e.V. and organizes a weekly painting class for children and adults. He majored in oil painting at Kyoto Art University and has run three businesses in Japan. However, he was always drawn to foreign countries, so he trained at a ramen restaurant – to work in different places around the world.

In "merging cultures" through ramen, Gaku is assisted by his wife, Azusa. Also born in Japan, Azusa studied chemistry and traveled with Gaku and now two children to various places around the world to work together in the restaurant business. For a number of years, the family has lived in Cologne, where Azusa now also works as a childminder.

Event in cooperation with Integrationshaus e.V.
